This is one of those stages of a build that most people never think about - until something goes wrong. Before the concrete truck ever shows up, the plumbing has to be in the ground and done right. That's exactly what we tackled here on this barndominium new construction build.

Under-foundation rough-in is all about precision. Every drain line, every stub-out, every sweep has to land in exactly the right spot before the slab gets poured. Once that concrete is down, there's no going back without a jackhammer and a big bill. Getting it right the first time is the only option we work toward.

You can see the rebar grid and vapor barrier laid out across the full footprint - everything staged and ready for the pour. The plumbing stub-outs are positioned throughout, and the drain lines are trenched in and set at the correct grade. The black corrugated pipe sweeps coming up through the form boards are part of the rough-in layout that will connect to the fixtures once the walls go up. Nothing is left to guesswork at this stage.

Barndominiums are a unique build - they tend to be wide open floor plans with specific plumbing zones that have to be thought through early in the design process. Coordinating that layout before the slab goes down is something we take seriously. A mistake here doesn't just cost money - it delays the entire build and creates problems that are genuinely painful to fix.

If you're planning a new construction home or a barndominium build and need a plumbing crew that understands what it takes to get the rough-in done correctly, we'd be glad to talk through your project.
